The Finals Best Settings — Season 10

The exact settings our Diamond and Ruby-ranked boosters use — sensitivity, graphics, audio, and keybinds optimised for ranked play.

The right settings won't make you a better player overnight, but the wrong settings will actively hold you back. This guide covers everything from sensitivity to graphics to audio — the exact setup our professional boosters use every session.

Sensitivity settings

There's no single "correct" sensitivity — the goal is finding something you can be consistent with. Here are the ranges our boosters recommend based on playstyle:

PlaystyleMouse DPIIn-game sens
Low sens (precise)160013
Medium sens (balanced)160017
High sens (reactive)160020+

Most important: pick a sensitivity and keep it for at least 20 hours before judging. Muscle memory takes time to build. Constantly switching is the biggest sensitivity mistake players make.

For ADS sensitivity, set it to 0.85–0.95× your hipfire sensitivity. This keeps tracking consistent between hipfire and ADS without feeling jarring.

Graphics settings for performance

The Finals is a demanding game. Higher frames mean more responsive input and clearer enemy visibility during destruction chaos. Prioritise framerate over visuals for ranked play.

Audio settings

Audio in The Finals gives you critical information — footsteps, cashout timers, reload sounds, ability activations. Good audio setup is as important as good aim.

  • Use headphones — stereo or surround headphones are essential for directional audio
  • Master volume: 70–80% — loud enough to hear details, not so loud it's fatiguing
  • Music volume: 0% — game music masks footsteps and environmental audio
  • Effects volume: 100% — gunshots, footsteps, gadget sounds
  • Voice chat volume: 80% — needs to be audible but not overpowering
  • Spatial audio: ON — improves directional sound significantly

Controller settings (console/controller players)

SettingRecommended
Look sensitivity40–60
ADS sensitivitySame as look or -5/-10/-15/-20/-25
Deadzone5–10 (as low as your stick drift allows)

Keybinds to consider changing

  • Bind crouch to a side mouse button if available — faster access in fights
  • Put your most-used gadget on Q or E for fastest activation
  • Keep interact (cashout) easy to reach — you need to press it under pressure
