Medium class overview
Medium sits at 250 HP — the middle ground between Light's mobility and Heavy's durability. What makes Medium unique is its support toolkit: Heal Beam, Defibrillator, and Guardian Turret make it the most team-enabling class in the game. No other class can revive teammates from range or sustain a team through extended cashout fights the way Medium can.
Medium is the most impactful class for team win rate, especially at mid-to-high ranks where fights are sustained rather than burst.
Best Medium specialisations
Heal Beam (S-tier)
Non-negotiable in almost every team composition. A good Heal Beam user can make a 2v3 winnable, sustain through Flamethrower pressure, and keep a Heavy alive long enough to hold a critical cashout. Every team needs at least one.
Dematerializer (S-tier)
Creates temporary holes in walls and floors — invaluable for repositioning, creating unexpected attack angles, and surprising enemies who think they're safe behind cover. Pairs perfectly with aggressive Medium play.
Shockwave / Aerialist (A-tier)
The new Season 10 specialisation. Knocks enemies off cashout platforms and into unfavourable positions. Very high skill ceiling — learning when and where to use it transforms your impact in high-level play.
Defibrillator (A-tier)
Instant revive from range. Essential in chaotic cashout fights where crawling to a teammate isn't an option. Best paired with Heal Beam on a second Medium to give your team maximum survivability.
Guardian Turret (B-tier)
Strong on defence but limited on offence. Place it watching a flank or covering the cashout approach when holding. Not ideal in aggressive team comps.
Best Medium weapons
| Weapon | Tier | Notes |

| Chimera-XB | S | High damage, destroys lights |
| P90 | A | Shreds enemies who push into you |
| R.357 | B | Situational — great in hands of skilled players |
Best Medium gadgets
- Defibrillator — non-negotiable. Reviving teammates mid-fight is the single highest-value action in the game. Always carry this.
- Jump Pad — launches teammates to elevated positions, enabling fast rotations and unexpected attack angles. Excellent for aggressive team play.
- Goo Grenade — instantly creates cover, blocks doorways, and slows enemy pushes. Great for buying time on a cashout defence.
How to play Medium effectively
- Stay close to your team — Heal Beam range is limited. If you're not near your teammates you can't support them. Position yourself 5–10m behind the front-line Heavy.
- Prioritise the Heal Beam over shooting — a living Heavy doing 100 DPS is worth more than a dead Heavy and you landing a few extra shots. When a teammate is low, beam them first.
- Use Defibrillator at the right moment — don't revive mid-fight into a 3v1. Wait for a lull or use cover. A revive into instant death wastes both the ability and the respawn timer advantage.
- Glitch Grenade counters you — position behind cover when enemies have a Light on their team. A Glitch Grenade disables your Heal Beam instantly.
